I'm pretty sure neither side can appeal an adverse judgment in a civil case. Isn't that the whole point of a civil trial, to get a final resolution without endless appeals?

I thought civil jury trials didn't have to be unanimous. Isn't that one of the key differences between civil and criminal cases?

D sounds about right. In civil cases, the standard of proof is usually the preponderance of evidence, not the higher 'beyond reasonable doubt' standard used in criminal trials.
