Option A seems overly complicated. Why bother with a plugin when you can just add the field directly in the XML? B or D are the way to go.

Haha, option C is a classic 'throw a random block in the layout' approach. Wouldn't recommend that one unless you really know what you're doing!

I'd go with option D. Adding a new field to the product_form.xml file is a nice clean way to extend the admin UI without having to mess with data providers.
