A proof is configured with a mull) stage automated workflow the design team often has to edit these proofs before they are moved to legal and financial for review. Which proof permission role do the design team members need?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

The Author permission role is necessary for the design team members who need to edit the proofs before they are sent for review by legal and financial teams. This role allows them to make changes directly to the proof and upload new versions, which is essential for their work in this multi-stage automated workflow.

Author role: Grants permission to edit and manage the proof, which includes uploading new versions and making changes to the existing proof content.

Options B (Reviewer) and C (Approver) are more restrictive roles that do not allow for editing proofs.

Refer to Workfront Proofing roles and permissions documentation for more information on the different proof roles.

The Approver role seems like overkill for the design team. They're the ones creating the proofs, not the ones giving the final stamp of approval.

I bet the design team members wish they had the Approver role so they could just approve their own work and skip all the reviews! But that's probably not a good idea.

Definitely the Reviewer role. They need to be able to make changes and comments before the proofs are approved, but not actually approve them themselves.

I disagree, I think the design team members need the Reviewer role to provide feedback on the proofs.

I agree with Frederica, the Author role makes sense because they need to edit the proofs.

I think the design team members need the Author permission role to edit the proofs before sending them to legal and financial review. That makes the most sense to me.

Definitely. It helps ensure that the proofs are accurate before they go through the review process.

That makes sense. It's important for the design team to have that level of control over the proofs.

Yes, you are correct. The Author permission role allows them to make edits before moving the proofs forward.
