Haha, can you imagine trying to Telnet into an RDS instance? That's like trying to use a rotary phone to access the cloud. B) is the only logical choice.

I bet some hackers out there would love to SSH into an RDS instance. But Amazon's not gonna let that happen, that's for sure. B) is the winner here.

No way! Amazon RDS is a managed service, so direct host access is not allowed. That's the whole point of using a managed database service.
