Which option does this definition apply to?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

The 'Definition of Done' (DoD) refers to a shared understanding between the Development Team and the Product Owner on the criteria that a user story must meet to be considered complete. This definition helps ensure that all aspects of the user story are fully developed, tested, and meet the agreed-upon standards before being marked as done.

Definition of Done Overview:

DoD includes all conditions that must be satisfied for the work to be accepted by the product owner.

It typically covers code completion, testing, documentation, and any other activities required to deliver a finished product.

Why Not Other Options?:

A . Acceptance Criteria: Defines specific requirements that a user story must meet, but does not encapsulate the broader checklist for completion.

B . Value Statement: Describes the value delivered by a feature, not the criteria for completion.

C . Definition of Ready (DoR): Refers to when a user story is ready to be taken into a sprint, not when it is complete.

I'm going to have to agree with the others on this one. The Definition of Done (DoD) is the way to go. Although, I do wonder what kind of party the Product Owner and Development Team have to throw when they finally agree on it.

Definitely the Definition of Done (DoD). I can't imagine a team and the Product Owner arguing over the Definition of Ready (DoR) – that's just asking for trouble!

I'm going with Definition of Done (DoD) as well. Acceptance Criteria are more about the specific requirements for a user story, not the overall agreement on completion.

I agree with Bethanie, because Acceptance Criteria defines when a user story is considered complete.

This definition sounds a lot like the Definition of Done (DoD) to me. The team and the Product Owner need to agree on the criteria for considering a user story complete.
