I'm not so sure about that. If the vSmart is the central controller, then I'd imagine the WAN Edge devices would have trouble forwarding traffic without it. Option A seems plausible to me, but I'm open to other opinions.

I'd say option B is the correct answer. The WAN Edge devices should continue operation normally, even if the vSmart is down. They probably have some built-in failover mechanisms to handle this scenario.

Hmm, this is a good one. I think the WAN Edge devices would continue operating normally for a configurable time if the vSmart is unreachable. That way, the network can still function even if there's a temporary connectivity issue.
