I'm not so sure about that. I think C might also be a valid answer - synchronous communication can be harder to follow and troubleshoot, especially in complex systems.
Yeah, that's a good point. Synchronous calls are simpler to understand, but they can make the UI feel less responsive if the API call takes a long time.
I agree with Alesia. Synchronous calls block the client until they get a response, whereas asynchronous calls allow the client to continue doing other things while waiting for the response.
