Which statement about the configuration of Cisco ASA NetFlow v9 Secure Event Logging is true?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

In a remote access VPN configuration, dynamic split tunneling allows traffic to certain trusted domains to bypass the VPN tunnel and exit through the client's local internet gateway. This feature selectively directs only the necessary traffic over the VPN, while allowing direct internet access for specific domains or traffic deemed safe or trusted, optimizing bandwidth and performance for remote users.

I bet the person who wrote this question is still trying to figure out how to configure their home router. This is child's play compared to that!

A is tempting, but I doubt you need to enable QoS just to view bandwidth usage for NetFlow records. Sounds like a trap option to me.

Option C is just ridiculous. How can you use NSEL without a collector configured? Someone's been hitting the Cisco kool-aid a bit too hard.

I think whoever came up with Option C didn't understand how NSEL works. It's essential to have a collector configured.

Yeah, without a collector, NSEL wouldn't be able to send any data. Option C is definitely wrong.

I agree, Option C doesn't make sense. You definitely need a collector for NSEL.

D seems like the right answer to me. You need to define a flow-export event type under a policy to use NSEL, right?

Option B sounds legit, I remember seeing something about using a sysopt command to enable NSEL. Gotta look into that further.

I'm not sure, but I think C) NSEL can be used without a collector configured could also be a valid option.

I agree with Lucina, enabling NSEL on a specific interface using a sysopt command makes sense.
