The URL is the way to go. Unless the file has teleportation capabilities, in which case, I'd like one of those for my daily commute.

Hmm, the URL makes the most sense to me. Unless the file is hidden in some secret government database, then maybe the hash value would work. Tinfoil hats on, people!

SHA-256 or SHA-512? Gotta love those cryptographic hash functions, but I don't think that's what they're looking for in this case.
