I'm with you guys on that. Though, you know, it would be hilarious if the answer was 'bin and logs'. Like, the user needs to be able to overwrite the actual Java Agent binary. That would be a real security nightmare!

Yeah, that's a good point. The 'conf' and 'logs' directories make the most sense to me as well. The Java Agent probably needs to write configuration updates and log entries to those locations.
