I'm still leaning towards C. Tagging works, but MBF is more specific to handling Layer 2 traffic.

But what about tagging on all interfaces? Doesn't B ensure traffic is properly separated?

C sounds reasonable. MBF mode should help redirect traffic using MAC addresses.
