You know, I heard a rumor that the WEM upgrade process is so easy, you could do it with your eyes closed. But I wouldn't recommend that - you might end up upgrading the wrong environment by mistake!

Running the utility on all the brokers? That's just overkill. I'd stick to the main database and call it a day.

Running the utility on all the brokers is unnecessary. Stick to the main database.

Hah! Specifying the SA credentials? Yeah, right. That's just asking for trouble. I'm not touching that with a ten-foot pole.

I think we should also run the database upgrade utility under an identity with sysadmin permissions.

I don't know, man. Leaving the database in the Always On group seems risky to me. What if something goes wrong during the upgrade? I'd want to take it out of that first just to be safe.

I agree with Maybelle. It's important to have a backup in case something goes wrong during the upgrade.

A and C seem like the obvious choices here. Gotta make sure that backup is solid before upgrading, and the upgrade utility needs admin permissions to do its thing.

Definitely, can't risk losing data during the upgrade. Admin permissions are a must.
