I'm a bit confused here. Wouldn't the answer be B? 5 created, 5 active? Since each instance is assigned to a single partition, we should have 5 tasks total, and all of them would be active.

Definitely D. It's all about that partition-instance distribution, you know? I wonder if the exam will have any questions about Kafka's inner workings, like how the brokers communicate with each other. That would be a real stream-liner.

I think the answer is D. Since we have 5 partitions and 5 instances of the application, each instance will get one partition and have 5 stream tasks created, so a total of 25 created and 5 active.
