Right, I've read somewhere that 4 is the sweet spot for maintaining quorum in an 8-node cluster.

I think it's 4 though. With 8 nodes, 4 should be enough to maintain quorum and write access.

Isn't the quorum usually just over half the nodes? So maybe 5 makes sense.
