I'm not sure about the formula, but I think I'll go with C) 2.33 as well. It seems to make sense based on the data given.

I agree with Kiera, the formula for Z score is (USL - Average) / Standard Deviation. So, C) 2.33 seems to be the correct answer.

Ah, the age-old question: what's the Z-score when the average is 65, the standard deviation is 3, and the upper spec limit is 72? Clearly, the answer is D) 4.12. Or is it? *cue dramatic music*

I'm pretty sure the answer is B) 1.5. I mean, who doesn't love a good z-score calculation? It's like the secret handshake of the statistics club.

Yeah, I agree. Z score calculations can be tricky, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty satisfying.

I think you're right, B) 1.5 sounds about right for the Z score calculation.

I think the answer is C) 2.33 because Z score is calculated by subtracting the average from the upper spec limit and dividing by the standard deviation.

Wait, did they really give us the wrong units? I thought we were supposed to calculate the Z-score, not the temperature in Fahrenheit. This is clearly a trick question!

Yeah, it seems like a trick question. Let's focus on finding the Z-score with the given data.

I think they made a mistake with the units, we need to calculate the Z-score not the temperature.

The question clearly states that the average is 65 and the standard deviation is 3. The upper spec limit is 72, so the correct answer is C) 2.33.
