Hourly log rotations, eh? Sounds like a recipe for a lot of paperwork if you ask me. But hey, if that's what the boss wants, who am I to argue? I'd probably start with the Pentaho server's log4j.xml, but you never know, maybe there's a secret setting hidden in the start-pentaho script. Either way, good luck keeping those logs under control!

Hourly log rotations, huh? Sounds like a good way to keep those logs from taking over the server. I'd say check the Pentaho server's log4j.xml, that's probably where the magic happens. Although, if you're feeling adventurous, the Tomcat startup script might be worth a look too. Just don't forget to log your progress, you know, for posterity!

I think modifying the start-pentaho script might also be a valid option to change the log rotation frequency.

Ooh, hourly log rotations, that's a fancy one! I'd start with the Pentaho server's log4j.xml, that's where I'd expect to find that setting. Although, who knows, maybe the start-pentaho script has a surprise for us. Either way, let's keep those logs tidy!

Yeah, that's a good place to start. If it's not there, we can always try the start-pentaho script.

I think you're right, let's check the log4j.xml file first.

The log files are getting too large? Sounds like a job for hourly rotations! Let's see, where would we find that setting... I bet it's in the Pentaho server's log4j.xml. Gotta keep those logs under control, you know?
