This reminds me of that time I tried to debug my code while sleepwalking. The type of defect, the actual cause, and the steps to reproduce were all a mystery to me until I woke up the next morning. Ah, the joys of software testing!

I'm going with the lifecycle phase, the actual cause, and the steps to reproduce as the missing pieces. The tester is still in the investigation phase, so they're probably just trying to figure out what went wrong before they can dive into the nitty-gritty. Kinda like trying to find Waldo in a Where's Waldo book – it takes time, but the payoff is worth it!

Hmm, I'd say the expected result, the actual cause, and the steps to reproduce are the ones that can't be included yet. The tester is just getting started, so they probably don't have all the information they need. This is like a mystery novel, but with more bugs than murder!

I believe the steps to reproduce the failure are crucial to include in the incident report for further investigation.

I agree with Barney. The lifecycle phase and the actual cause might not be known at this stage.

The type of defect, the actual cause, and the lifecycle phase where the defect was introduced can't yet be present in the incident report since it's in the 'new' state and needs to be investigated further. Bummer, I was hoping for some juicy details right off the bat!

Shawnna: True, it's a start. Hopefully, we'll get more information as the investigation progresses.

At least we have the expected result highlighting the failure for now.

I know, it's frustrating that we can't see the type of defect or the actual cause yet.

I think the type of defect, the actual and expected result, and the steps to reproduce can't be present yet.
