That's true, it's also a valid choice for sharing data between virtual machines.

I think mounting other virtual machines' file systems from /dev/virt-disks/remote/ could also be a good option, right?

That could work too, but using a network file system would be more efficient.

But can't we also write data to the file system since all virtual machines on the same host system use the same file system?

I agree with it's the most practical solution for sharing data between virtual machines.

I think the most common way is by using a network file system or file transfer protocol.

That could work too, but I think using a network file system can provide more flexibility in managing shared data.

But wouldn't it be easier to just attach the same virtual hard disk to all virtual machines and activate EXT4 sharing extensions on it?

I agree with Mirta, using a network file system or file transfer protocol seems like the most efficient way to share data.

Hold up, did anyone else notice the typo in option C? 'virt-disks/remote/' is not a valid path. That's an instant disqualification in my book.

I'm not so sure about that. Option E sounds like it could be a good solution, especially if you need fast access to the shared data.

Option D seems like the most logical answer to me. Using a network file system or file transfer protocol is the most flexible and secure way to share data between virtual machines.

I agree, it's a pretty standard question. But I'm curious to see what the other candidates think about the different options.

This question seems pretty straightforward, but I'm not sure if they're looking for a specific technical solution or a more general approach.
