Ah, the age-old question of process priority. It's like trying to tame a wild horse with a feather - gotta know the right commands!

Wait, so if I use the nice command, I can make my processes run like the wind? Time to max out those priorities!

I remember learning that the nice command can only increase the priority of a process, not decrease it. So the highest priority a normal user can set is 19. Gotta be E) 19.

D) 99 sounds like it would be the highest priority, but I don't think a normal user can assign that. I'm going to go with the answer that makes the most sense - A) -20.

I'm going with A) -20 too, it seems like the most reasonable choice for a normal user.

I'm not sure, but I think A) -20 is the safest option for a normal user to assign as the highest priority.

I agree, A) -20 seems like the most logical choice for a normal user.

I think you're right, a normal user can't assign a priority of 99. I'll go with A) -20 as well.

But doesn't the nice command only allow values from -20 to 19 for a normal user?

Hmm, I thought the highest priority was 0. But now that I think about it, that's the default priority, not the highest. I'm going with C) -19.

I'm pretty sure the highest priority a normal user can assign to a process using the nice command is -20. Anything higher would require root privileges.
