That's a good point, Timothy. The requirement for applications to access data using a REST connection is a key factor in this decision

I think option C, an Azure SQL database with active geo-replication, is the way to go. It provides both data replication and access via REST connection

That could be a valid point, Olive. Depending on the budget constraints, cost might be a deciding factor in this recommendation

But wouldn't option B, using tables in an Azure Storage account with read-access geo-redundant storage, be more cost-effective?

I agree with you, Dean. Active geo-replication ensures data is replicated to a second Azure region for disaster recovery

I think option A, an Azure SQL Database elastic pool with active geo-replication, would be the best choice

You know, if we're really trying to minimize costs, I wonder if we could get away with a single Azure SQL Database instance and use active geo-replication to meet the replication requirement. That might be the most cost-effective solution, even if it's not as flexible as the other options.

I don't know, the REST access requirement makes me hesitant about going with just a storage account. Azure SQL Database might be a better fit there, even if it's a bit more expensive.

I'm leaning towards option B. Azure Storage accounts with RA-GRS seem like they could meet the requirements, especially the automatic replication to a second region. Plus, it's probably cheaper than a full-blown Azure SQL Database solution.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. We need a solution that can handle a variety of table sizes and usage patterns, provide REST access, and automatically replicate the data, all while being cost-effective. That's a tall order!

Yeah, option A seems to be the best choice. It meets all the specified requirements and is cost-effective too.

I'm not sure if that would meet all the requirements. It might be better to go with option A.
