I understand that point, but expanding the Temporary Storage drive as mentioned in option D could also be necessary depending on the storage requirements of the app.

I agree with Rory. Changing the drive letter first seems like a logical step to ensure there's no conflict with the data disk assignment.

But wouldn't it be better to change the drive letter of the Temporary Storage drive to F before assigning the data disk to drive D?

I think the first thing we should do is stop (deallocate) VM1 as mentioned in option C.

Haha, yeah, imagine trying to move the pagefile while the VM is still running. That would probably crash the whole thing! Better to be safe and stop the VM first.

That could work too, as long as it doesn't disrupt anything.

Yeah, C is definitely the right answer here. You can't just go in and start modifying the disk configuration while the VM is running. That would be a recipe for disaster!

I agree with you. Stopping the VM is the necessary first step before we can attach the data disk. Trying to change the drive letter or move the pagefile without stopping the VM first wouldn't work.

Hmm, this question seems pretty straightforward. The key here is that we need to assign a persistent data disk to drive D for the app. I think the correct answer is C, we need to stop (deallocate) the VM1 first before we can attach the data disk.
