Adding a disk to one VM and enabling read/write on it from the other VM could also work for this task.

I think configuring a virtual disk on each VM with identical attributes in the storage dashboard would be the best approach.

I disagree, I believe the administrator should add the volume group to the VM using the update link from the VM dashboard.

I think the administrator should create a shared folder for the VMs using Nutanix Files to accomplish this task.
