Oracle Exam 1Z0-076 Topic 2 Question 15 Discussion

Actual exam question for Oracle's 1Z0-076 exam
Question #: 15
Topic #: 2
[All 1Z0-076 Questions]

Examine the Data Guard configuration:

Which three will be true after a successful failover to Cats?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B, D, E

After a successful failover to the 'cats' database in a Data Guard configuration:

B: Sheep, being another standby database, would typically remain in the enabled state unless specifically disabled or if there was a configuration issue.

D: Dogs, which was the primary database prior to failover, will be in a disabled state as part of the failover process. Manual intervention is required to re-establish 'dogs' as a standby database or to return it to the primary role through another role transition.

E: If the configuration was in Maximum Availability mode before failover, it would remain in this mode after failover, provided all settings were properly configured and no changes were made to the protection mode.

Option A is incorrect because failover does not automatically change the protection mode to Maximum Performance. The protection mode remains as it was prior to the failover unless manually altered.

Meow, looks like the Cats are taking over! I'd bet my nine lives on D and E being the right choices here.

This is a tricky one, but I think Kanisha and Paris are on the right track. D and E all the way!

I'm not sure about Sheep being in the enabled or disabled state, but I think Dogs will definitely be in the disabled state and need manual reinstatement.

I think we should also consider option A, as the configuration might be in Maximum Performance mode after the failover.

Haha, poor Sheep and Dogs! Looks like they got the short end of the stick in this scenario. I'd go with D and E as well.

I think Dogs will be in the disabled state and have to be manually reinstated, so it's probably A, D, and E.

I agree with Kanisha. The configuration would switch to Maximum Availability mode after the failover, so D and E are the correct answers.

D and E seem like the most logical options here. If we successfully failed over to Cats, Sheep would be disabled and Dogs would need to be manually reinstated.

Yes, that's correct. The configuration would be in Maximum Availability mode after a successful failover to Cats.

I agree, D and E make the most sense. Sheep would be disabled and Dogs would need manual reinstatement.
