I'm confident the correct answers are C and E. No ASM instances if no disk groups are specified, and the installer does allow creating a disk group for voting and OCR files.

This exam question is a real 'disk-aster'! I hope the correct answers are not too 'grueling' for the other candidates.

I'm going with B and E. The installer lets you create a disk group for the Recovery Area and for the voting disks and OCR file.

I'm not sure about option C. Can someone explain why ASM instances are not started if no disk groups are specified during installation?

I agree with you, Kaitlyn. I also believe option E is true because the Installer allows creation of a disk group for voting disks and OCR file.

I think option A is true because ASM must be used for all databases on the cluster if configured for Clusterware files.

A and D seem to be the true statements here. ASM is required for all databases in the cluster, and the voting and OCR files need a quorum failgroup.

I'm pretty sure C and E are the correct answers. ASM is not mandatory for databases, and the installer lets you create a disk group for voting and OCR files.
