You have created a risk definition R100 and have created a new control C100 for this risk. No user has been assigned the Risk or Control reviewer and approver roles. What will be the state of R100 and C100 after submitting?
I think we're overthinking this. If no one is assigned to review and approve, then the risks and controls can't be in any state other than 'New'. Option D has got to be the right answer. *chuckles* Unless the system is programmed by a bunch of pranksters, that is.
Hmm, I'm not so sure. What if the system has some default behavior where it automatically puts them in the 'In Review' or 'Awaiting Approval' state, even without assigned reviewers? I'm a bit torn between options A and D.
Option D makes the most sense to me. If there's no one assigned to approve the risk and control, then they shouldn't progress beyond the 'New' state. Simple as that!
I think the key here is that no one has been assigned the reviewer and approver roles. That means the risks and controls can't be reviewed or approved, so they should stay in the 'New' state. I'm going with option D.
This question seems to be testing our understanding of the workflow and approval process for risks and controls in the system. Without any assigned reviewers or approvers, I'm not sure what the expected behavior would be.
