From where is the final measurement condition code created?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

Measurement condition codes are codes that indicate the quality or status of measurement data, such as raw, estimated, edited, validated, or final. Measurement condition codes are assigned at different stages of processing measurement data and can affect how measurement data are used for billing or analysis purposes. According to the Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management Business User Guide, the final measurement condition code is created from:

Post-VEE condition code: This is the condition code that is assigned after validation, estimation, and editing (VEE) processing has been performed on measurement data. VEE processing is a set of rules and algorithms that check and correct measurement data for any gaps, errors, or anomalies. The post-VEE condition code reflects the outcome of VEE processing and determines whether measurement data are ready for export or further processing.

I think it's the Post-VEE condition code. That's where the final measurement condition code comes from.

Hmm, that makes sense too. It could be either Pre-VEE or from HES.

I believe it is actually created from the Condition code sent from head-end system (HES).

Hold on, is the Post-VEE condition code the one that's been through all the validation and error-checking? That sounds like the most reliable option to me.

Ha, I bet the raw condition code is as useful as a chocolate teapot! Gotta go with the Pre-VEE condition code for this one.

Yeah, the raw condition code doesn't sound very trustworthy.

I agree, the Pre-VEE condition code seems more reliable.

I'm pretty sure it's the Condition code sent from the head-end system (HES). That's where all the data is aggregated and processed, so it makes sense that's where the final code would come from.

No, those are used earlier in the process. The final code comes from the HES

So it's not the Post-VEE or Raw condition code?

The final measurement condition code has to come from the Pre-VEE condition code, right? That's the one that's closest to the source of the data.

That's correct. The Pre-VEE condition code is the closest to the source of the data.
