Clustering is the way to go, for sure. Although, I did hear a funny story about a grocery store that tried to use regression and ended up with a bunch of confused customers who couldn't figure out why the cashier was asking them to take the square root of their total bill.

I don't know, I feel like anomaly detection could be interesting too. You could find the customers that are outliers in their buying patterns and see what makes them different. But yeah, clustering is probably the safest bet.

Association rules could also be helpful in understanding the relationships between different products that customers tend to buy together.

Regression might not be the best option for segmenting customers. It's more suited for predicting numerical values.

Anomaly detection could be useful too. It can help identify unusual buying patterns that don't fit into any specific group.

Clustering sounds like a good choice. It can group similar customers together based on their purchasing behavior.

I was thinking association rules might be useful, like figuring out which items customers tend to buy together. But I guess that's more for product recommendations, not segmentation. Clustering is probably the best choice here.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. Regression might work too, if you're trying to predict customer behavior based on certain variables. But clustering does seem more appropriate for customer segmentation.

Clustering is definitely the way to go here! You want to group customers based on their buying habits, and that's exactly what clustering is designed for.
