Because only one of the objects previously referenced by t1 is eligible for garbage collection based on the program logic.

Ha! Looks like the developers are trying to trick us with this one. I'm gonna go with B, just to see the look on their faces when I get it right.

Hmm, this one's tricky. I'm going to go with D - only one of the objects previously referenced by t1 is eligible for garbage collection. The question doesn't provide enough information to know for sure, but that seems like the safest bet.

I think C is the correct answer. If the program is printing GC, it means the garbage collector is running, but that doesn't necessarily mean any objects are eligible for collection.

Option B makes the most sense to me. If the program prints GC, that means garbage collection is happening, and both the objects previously referenced by t1 should be eligible for collection.

No, I don't think so. Only the objects referenced by t1 should be eligible for garbage collection.

But what about the object referenced by t2? Do you think that one is eligible for garbage collection as well?

I think option B is correct too. Both objects referenced by t1 should be eligible for garbage collection.
