Answer should be 'A'. REQUIRE_NEW will be always start a bean method in a new transaction. MANDATORY will continue with existing transaction. If there is not transaction Container will throw TransactionRequiredException. https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19226-01/820-7627/bncik/index.html
