The only thing I'm adding to my Exadata is a stress ball. This stuff is no joke!

Don't forget to run the applyElasticConfig.sh script for network configuration.

Make sure to enter the new server information in OEDA and have the configuration file ready.

Stress ball won't help with this, you need to follow the steps for adding a new database server.

I bet the guy who wrote this question is a real Exadata expert... or maybe just a masochist.

E is definitely wrong. Why would we need to install OEDA on the new server when we're using OEDA to configure it?

D) The applyElasticConfig.sh script performs network configuration for the new servers. The new servers are restarted at the end of the process.

C) In order to configure the servers with Oracle Exadata Deployment Assistant (OEDA), the new server information must be entered in OEDA, and the configuration file must contain existing nodes.

I'm not sure about statement E, do we really need to install OEDA on the first new server?

Hmm, I'm not sure about B. Reclaiming disk space seems like an optional step, not a required one.

I think B is actually required to reclaim disk space and reconfigure partitions.

I agree with statement D because applyElasticConfig.sh script configures network for new servers.

D seems like the right answer. The applyElasticConfig.sh script handles the network config and restarts the new servers.

And B is not needed. Executing reclaimdisks.sh is not required to add an additional database server.

True, A is incorrect. If OEDA Validate Configuration File shows an error about missing files, do not proceed.

But don't forget, C is also correct. The new server info must be entered in OEDA and the config file must have existing nodes.
