Universal Containers (UC) is in the process of implementing a B2C Commerce site for their storefront, and Experience Cloud for their support and help desk. UC wants to ensure that there is a single login and data experience between the two sites while also being relatively seamless.

I don't know, Experience Cloud seems like a tempting option. It's right there in the name, after all. But Salesforce Identity is probably the safer and more reliable choice for a unified login experience.

Haha, imagine if they chose Service Cloud for authentication. That would be like trying to log in to your online shopping cart through your customer service chat window. Not very user-friendly!

I agree, Salesforce Identity makes the most sense. It's designed to work seamlessly with both B2C Commerce and Experience Cloud, which is exactly what UC is looking for.

Salesforce Identity is the way to go here. It provides a single, unified authentication system that can be used across different Salesforce applications. This ensures a seamless login experience for UC's customers.
