Salesforce Exam CRT-101 Topic 2 Question 72 Discussion

Actual exam question for Salesforce's CRT-101 exam
Question #: 72
Topic #: 2
[All CRT-101 Questions]

Cloud Kicks (CK) captures whether an opportunity should be reviewed by someone in product engineering with a checkbox field called Needs Review. CK also has a picklist field on the opportunity for Product Type. When a sales rep saves an opportunity, they need to select the Product Type or check the Needs Review box.

What should an administrator use to accomplish this?

I'm surprised they didn't include 'Sacrifice a goat to the Salesforce gods' as an option. That's the only way to guarantee it works, right?

Option A, a Before Save flow, would be my pick. It gives you more flexibility to handle the logic and even trigger other actions if needed.

This is a tricky one, but I think C is the best choice. A workflow rule can automatically check the Needs Review box if Product Type is not selected.

I would go with D) Required fields to make sure that the Product Type is selected or the Needs Review box is checked before the opportunity can be saved.

I agree with you, B) Validation rule seems like the most logical choice to enforce the required fields before saving the opportunity.

I'd go with D. Required fields are the simplest solution to ensure the sales reps fill out the necessary information.

Required fields are definitely the way to go. It's the easiest way to make sure all the necessary information is filled out.

Why not Before Save flow? Seems logical to automate.

I think it's Validation rule. It controls field requirements better.

A bit. Not sure if Validation rule or Before Save flow is better.
