I think setting the deduction rules to query the different holiday classes could also be helpful in managing absences on those days.

Hmm, I'd say A, C, and D. Seems like the most straightforward way to handle this scenario. Although, I do wonder if the developers had a few too many half-day Fridays themselves when they came up with this question.
