I don't think so. Kanban is more related to inventory control, while Material requirements planning focuses on material availability for production.

But what about Kanban? Could that also be affected by the parameters set for simple discontinuation?

Haha, it's like a game of 'Guess the Affected Process'! I'd say C. Backflushing is the way to go here. Can't have any of that discontinued material in my production orders!

I agree with Hayley. It makes sense that Material requirements planning would be affected in that scenario.

I don't think Kanban would be affected in this scenario. The focus seems to be more on planning and production processes with zero stock and a past discontinuation date.

Wow, this is a tricky one! I'm torn between B and D, but I'm leaning more towards D. Production order release would definitely be affected in this scenario.

Hmm, I think the correct answer is B. Material requirements planning. If the stock is zero and the discontinuation date is in the past, it's going to affect the MRP process for sure.
