I'm not sure, but I think modeling an Open View of source type 'Database Table or View' which refers to the SAP ABAP CDS View could also be a supported way.

I agree with Maile. Modeling a CompositeProvider seems like the best option for virtually consuming data in SAP BW/4HANA.

I'm not sure about that. Wouldn't it be better to use a CompositeProvider to abstract the data access? Option A seems more robust to me.

I agree, using a CompositeProvider to consume an SAP HANA Calculation View which refers to the SAP ABAP CDS View is the recommended way.

I think the recommended way is to model a CompositeProvider which consumes an SAP HANA Calculation View which refers to the SAP ABAP CDS View.
