I was also leaning towards option B, 1 hour. That seems like a more reasonable duration, especially if the Sprint went well and there aren't too many issues to discuss.
Hmm, I'm not so sure about that. The Scrum Guide does mention that the Retrospective is a 3-hour time-box for a one-month Sprint. So I think option A, 4 hours, is the correct answer.
I'd go with option C, 'It is not time-boxed (as long as needed)'. The Retrospective should be as long as it needs to be to address the important issues and find ways to improve.
Yeah, I agree. The Scrum Guide doesn't specify a fixed duration for the Sprint Retrospective. It's probably best to keep it focused and not let it drag on.
