Snowflake Exam ADA-C01 Topic 1 Question 15 Discussion

Actual exam question for Snowflake's ADA-C01 exam
Question #: 15
Topic #: 1
[All ADA-C01 Questions]

What session parameter can be used to test the integrity of secure views based on the account that is accessing that view?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

The SIMULATED_DATA_SHARING_CONSUMER session parameter allows a data provider to test the integrity of secure views based on the account that is accessing that view2. By setting this parameter to the name of the consumer account, the data provider can query the secure view and see the results that a user in the consumer account will see2. This helps to ensure that sensitive data in a shared database is not exposed to unauthorized users1. The other options are not valid session parameters in Snowflake3

I bet the answer is C. PRODUCER_TEST_ACCT - it's got 'test' in the name, so it must be the right choice! *laughs* Although, I guess that's not the best logic for an exam question.

Hmm, I'm torn between A and D. They both sound like they could be used for testing secure views, but I'm not entirely sure. I hope the exam doesn't trick us with these options!

B. TEST_ACCOUNT_ID seems more intuitive to me. It's probably the session parameter to use for testing secure view access.

I agree with Judy, because it makes sense to mimic the consumer account for testing.
