I disagree, I believe the correct answer is D) From the context menu of Sales over time, select Use as Filter and then deselect Use as Filter.

Option B is just confusing. Why would you deselect and then reselect the 'Use as Filter' option on the Profits by state chart? That wouldn't help with the filtering task.

Option D doesn't make sense to me. Selecting and then deselecting the 'Use as Filter' option on the Sales over time chart won't do anything useful.

I think option A is the correct answer. Enabling Auto Update on the Sales over time chart will allow you to filter both that chart and the Detail table by selecting a data point on the map.
