I think the key difference is in the execution mode. Subflow is supposed to be synchronous, while SpawnWorkflow is asynchronous. But I could be wrong about that.

You know, I read somewhere that both Subflows and SpawnWorkflow can be nested. But I'm not sure if that's true.

Okay, let's think this through. I'm pretty sure that Subflows can be nested, but I'm not sure about SpawnWorkflow. And I think the execution modes are different, but I can't remember which one is ASYNCHR and which one is SYNCHR.
