An administrator has been tasked with configuring VMware Aria Automation SaaS to meet the following requirements:

Ability to deploy Virtual Machines to an on-premises VMware SDDC.

Ability to consume VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator workflows from the self-service catalog.

Which two components of a VMware Aria Automation SaaS-based architecture must be deployed on-premises to meet the requirements? (Choose two.)

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A, D

To meet the requirements of deploying Virtual Machines to an on-premises VMware SDDC and consuming VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator workflows from the self-service catalog in a VMware Aria Automation SaaS environment, the necessary components to be deployed on-premises include the VMware Cloud Proxy and VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator. The Cloud Proxy facilitates secure communication between the on-premises environment and the SaaS-based VMware Aria Automation, while the Orchestrator provides the workflow automation capabilities required.

I'm pretty sure the answer is A) VMware Cloud Proxy and D) VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator. You need the Proxy to connect to the on-premises environment, and the Orchestrator to run the workflows. Although, I heard the Proxy sometimes likes to do the robot during deployments.

Haha, hopefully the Proxy behaves and doesn't start doing the robot dance during deployments!

D) VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator and E) VMware Cloud Extensibility Proxy are the two components that need to be deployed on-premises. This allows for the integration with the local VMware SDDC and the consumption of Orchestrator workflows.

Well, the only components that make sense to deploy on-premises are the VMware Cloud Proxy and the Orchestrator. Everything else can be handled in the cloud. Although, I heard the Orchestrator sometimes comes with its own dance moves.

I think the VMware Aria Automation Config and VMware Cloud Extensibility Proxy are the correct answers. You need the Config component for the on-premises deployment, and the Extensibility Proxy to connect to the VMware SDDC.

I'm not sure about VMware Cloud Proxy. I think Workspace One Access Connector might be needed instead.
