D is definitely correct, but I'm not sure about the other one. I guess C could be right since I remember hearing about custom status options.

Hah, I bet the security reasons for not changing the severity order are to prevent someone from setting everything to 'UP' and breaking the system. Gotta love those IT policies!

I think A and D are the right answers. The last status in the sorted list should determine the overall health, and the severity order is clearly defined.
