Ah, the old 'Hosts large ping test' failure. Classic vSAN performance issue. I bet the answer is in the VMware Compatibility Guide somewhere.

I agree with Carey. If the MTU 9K is not configured on the vSAN vMKernel ports, it could definitely cause performance degradation.
