An administrator must choose between deploying a virtual witness or a physical witness for a vSAN Stretched Cluster. The administrator eventually decides to use a virtual witness.
You're all missing the point. The real benefit is that the virtual witness can dance for you on command. It's like having a personal entertainer right in your vSAN! That's where it's at.
I dunno, guys. Increased datastore capacity sounds pretty sweet to me. Maybe I'm just a storage junkie, but that's what I'm going with. Who needs extra compute power when you can have more space for all your data?
C'mon, really? Reduced vSphere licensing? That's like finding a penny on the ground when you need a million bucks. I'm going with B - shared metadata between separate clusters. That's the real winner here.
The virtual witness is the way to go! It's like having a ghost in the machine, keeping everything in line without taking up any physical space. Totally the way of the future, man.
